Would you like your ads served as banners, skyscrapers, rectangles or squares? And what about borders and background colors?
The choices can be overwhelming. Many Adsense publishers stick with the default settings and that is a very big mistake. Sticking with the default settings, it's like swapping a hundred dollar for a 10 dollar one.
Here is 'basic rule" of the rocketed the CTRs :
Don't Make an Ad Look Like an Ad
People or visitors visit your website to find some good information not for ads.
If You make the ads with eye-catching colors, borders or images, that makes your visitor easily to recognize as ads and they will avoid them. The same goes for ads that are tucked away in the top, bottom or some other far corner of the page.
If You want visitors to click ads, make your ads look like an integral part of your content.
Today's banners are made to be ignored, visitors are mad at pop-ups and weary of ads. So, if you want to win their confidence, don't make your ads look like ads!
